Table of Contents
Airplane Essentials
Let’s face it, long haul flights can be rough. Sitting in a cramped seat for hours on end can be extremely uncomfortable and boring. Here are some items that I personally use to make my journey as comfortable and entertaining as possible.
- Insulated Water Bottle – Many airports have filtered water stations after you go through TSA security. Fill up your water bottle so that you can stay hydrated during your flight!
- Beats Wireless Headphones – I use these to drown out the loud airplane engine or to watch movies on my iPad.
- Silk Sleep Mask – These are essential for getting some rest on long flights.
- Apple AirPods – For shorter flights, I like to use these since they’re not as bulky as headphones.
- Travel Wrap – Planes can get cold, bundle up!
- Apple iPad – Your gift recipient can fight boredom or entertain a child by watching movies or playing games.
- Trtl Pillow – While this pillow may be somewhat awkward, it’s the only one that’s kept my head from swaying side to side as I sleep
- Leg hammock – No business class? No problem! You can still lift your feet up with this contraption.
What To Carry
Your gift recipient deserves nothing but the best, so here are my picks on what to use for quality luggage, totes, and everything in between.
- Hardside luggage – Besides looking elegant, this carry on is functional and durable.
- Cat Luggage Tag – How cute is this luggage tag? It’s perfect for cat-lovers.
- Osprey Backpack – I have this backpack and can attest to its extraordinary functionality. I love the separate compartment at the top specifically for my liquids pouch.
- Longchamp Tote – If backpacks aren’t his or her thing, then this tote is perfect. I love that it has a zipper on top to keep items from falling out.
- Crossbody purse – This purse has anti-theft features that will come in handy during travels.
- Travel wallet and passport holder – Not only is this wallet RFID blocking, but it holds a passport, travel documents, credit cards, money, and SIM card.
How To Store Items
Organization is key for the quintessential jet setter. Otherwise, they will just be rummaging through their luggage trying to find anything. Trust me, I’ve been there! Here are some items that will help.
- Compression Packing Cubes – I own these packing cubes and love them. They compress all of your clothes so well so that you can maximize the space in your luggage.
- Toiletry bag – There are thousands of toiletry bag options, but this one stood out to me because of its size and various compartments.
- Jewelry case – What I like about this jewelry organizer is that it can be rolled up and laid flat.
- Cable cord holder – No more tangled cords lost in the bottom of your tote!
Gizmos and Gadgets
While some of these electronics are fun to have on any trip, some of them may be necessary to document your travels perfectly.
- Nikon D3500 DSLR Camera – I’ve had an earlier model of this camera for years and love the high quality images it produces.
- GoPro Hero 8 – The latest model of the GoPro was just released and looks better than ever!
- DJI Mavic Mini Drone – The price tag on this drone is much more reasonable because of its size.
- Travel adapter – This adapter works in more than 150 countries and has USB ports. I have a similar one and it’s a travel essential.
- Portable charger – This portable charger is a best seller that is compact and charges devices fast.
- Travel steamer – This will come in handy to get wrinkles out. It’s also lightweight and packs well!
Fun Travel Accessories
Even if a vacation isn’t planned in the near future, that does not mean any travel lover wouldn’t want these gifts!
- Scratch off map – This is such a fun way for your recipient to show off where they’ve been.
- Adventure mug – I love that this mug can be used while camping as well as every day.
- Geometric photo frame – Perfect for displaying travel photos!
- Travel Themed Wine Charms – Any traveler who loves wine would love to receive this! These charms feature famous landmarks from around the world.
- Photo album – Not only does this feature a collage on the cover, but it can hold 240 photos.

sadly you have only listed things that you already have so then what is left for me to get you??? lol!! Such great tips though! Question about your camera. Is it able to transfer photos immediately to a phone/email?

You can! There is an app you just connect to via Bluetooth. The app also lets you use your phone as a remote trigger for your camera!
