Flowers around every corner, a crystal clear lake, and mountains lining the horizon. These are characteristics of the beautiful French town of Annecy. This quaint city has always been on my travel bucket list (thank you Instagram). When I saw how close it was to Geneva, I knew I had to fit a visit in.
I spent one night here towards the end of a Switzerland trip and to be honest, I could’ve stayed longer. Not because of how much there was to do there, but because it made me feel at peace. From boat rides to strolling along the lake and enjoying the beautiful weather, I loved it there.
The people of Annecy really do a good job of making the town pretty as evidenced by the many flower pots lining the canal. Here are some photos that will hopefully inspire you to add Annecy to your travel bucket list.
